Line of Events
Following the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, attempts to take over Gotham’s criminal underworld. From melting makeup to filming in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti discuss what it was like to get into character during the production of Penguin. Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of The Penguin to smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but he was unsuccessful. However, in his own series, the character is portrayed as an occasional tobacco user, preferring cigars.
He is impressive
The umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Appears in Graham Norton and stars Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). Farrell STEALS this series.
The show is raw and graphic
There’s nothing about the character that even hints at Farrell. The New York dialect, the swaying and limping, the posture: you’d swear he’s a different person. The incredible prosthetics are incredibly realistic and add character. There’s nothing cartoonish about it.
Well-written and taut
It’s a great equivalent to Christopher Nolan’s Batman. In fact, I’d say it’s breaking the Marvel line. I hope there might be a Season 2, but I know it’s limited. That’s a shame.
